Song without words Op.II- for Cora (2013):
This piece is for the dog named “Cora”. Cora was the darling of my exwife and son Ludwig and has accompanied us for almost 13 years. One day, when the three of us went for a walk with the dog in the Garden Palace of the conservatory, I came up with the idea to compose something for her. I was motivated by the fast moving movements of her paws and thus I had a nice leitmotiv of the topic. There are also anecdotes from Debussy, who composed songs for his dog and daughters. Unfortunately, Cora died in 2016.
