Vals “A mi madre” for Violin and Piano by Julio Arancibia

Vals “A mi Madre” (1989):
Composed for my mother’s birthday. Remembering my Peruvian childhood, I decided to write a typical, rhythmic waltz to which my mother loved to dance. Fifths sequences in the “basso continuo” makes this work. My nephew, Juan Carlos Arancibia, transcribed it for guitar and later also a version for violin and piano.
