Lullaby for Doreen Chen (2000):
At that time I wrote this song for my ex-wife Doreen. When we were not yet married, we lived in a small apartment in a quiet area in Detmold. One day we argued and the good mood was gone for the whole night. She was restless but when she finally fell asleep, I came up with the idea to compose a lullaby for her, although I only had a simple electric piano. “Doreen Chen” comes from her grandmother, who gave her this nickname.
